Erosion Control

Erosion Control are the techniques used to prevent wind and water erosion in agriculture, land development, and construction. It’s used to protect soil, water, wildlife habitat and property.

There are many different techniques and methods that fall in four common practices: vegetation, geotextiles, mulch, and retaining walls.

Using a blower truck, is a great tool for erosion control.

  • Blowing mulch, such as straw, with a tackifier creates a blanket, protecting new growing vegetation
  • Blowing mulch, compost, and other soils, into berms, creates low retaining walls. The picture shown is a berm in conjunction with a geotextile to create a retaining wall.
  • Using erosion control socks, filled with blown material provides a good erosion control product.
